Based in the Peak District, participants went rock climbing, abseiling off 100 foot bridge into a river, rock scrambling, and ascended Kinder Scout. During the weekend there's a chance to use Gregory packs of choice, and tents and sleeping bags were kindly supplied by Mountain Equipment.

The Case of the Purloined Juice Bag - at the Oscars 2006
This story was posted at: http://twist.blogsource.com/post.mhtml?post_id=269055 after the Oscars 2006

Yes, it's true. Like the rest of us, I am subject to attacks of Consumer Lust. Rare, but sometimes intense. Specifically, there were these snazzy yellow & black solar-powered backpacks on display in the "Green Building Lounge." But I only had a VIP, not a Very-VIP Pass, so I couldn't get past the cordon; I confessed my lust to the Evolvers; Lora ran down to grab one for me (as a staffer & sponsor, she had clout). As she passed the backpack to me and zipped off, another staffer accosted me--"Hey, don't take that! We have to return those to the company. They're not freebies." Downcast, I surrendered the Object of My Desire.
Later, I returned to the Sacred Alcove. Since I wasn't going to get to take one home with me, I at least wanted to get some snapshots. I recruited Holly, and Katrina, to model the backpacks. (Hehe, thinking maybe if I give Reware enough PR, they'll send me one. Hint hint nudge nudge wink wink.)
Later, Barent & Heather subjected me to a Citizen's Trial. One of the other JuiceBags had now, in fact, gone missing. And not due to me!
Barent: "Dude, that's so uncool you tried to take that Juicebag. You should be ashamed. Are you sure you didn't take it? Look me in the eyes and tell me you didn't take it."
"Yeah," Heather chimed in, "Swear you didn't that that backpack. Look me in the eyes too."
I swore I didn't take it: "But, I will admit I thought about liberating it." [Anarchists don't "shoplift." They "liberate" stuff.]
"And, you put Lora up to grabbing it for you? Didn't you?! That's even worse. Admit it!"
Well, did I put Lora up to it? Did I recruit her as my accomplice? No. She volunteered to get it for me. And at that point I obviously didn't know that the bags were not free display swag. But that seemed too complicated to explain--it would just sound like I was trying to talk my way out of my [alleged] guilt.
Heather: "So, maybe you didn't take it! But I bet you know who did! Would you tell us if you knew who took it?"
"Umm. . . well, . . . IF I knew who took it, then. . . It might depend on what the punishment was, . . . and how much of a friend they were." [Speculative Moral Quandary?]
Eventually I managed to get Heather to take off her Prosecutor hat. I put her in front of my digital camera and asked her for a User Review of the Juicebag. Heather says she'd charged both her cellphone and iPod off it (not at the same time). She can even fit her whole laptop in the bag, and Reware now has a battery/adapter for laptops.
"Wow, Heather. That sounds like a perfect commercial. Are you sure Reware didn't pay you to say this?" I ask.
"No way," Heather retorts, "I paid $200 cash for my Juicebag, and it's worth every penny. I use it all the time."
We never did discover who, in fact, purloined the JuiceBag.
